Derwent heading to Moniker Art Fair

After appearing on ITV this week, the Derwent team are on the road again, heading away from our Cumbrian base to London for the Moniker Art Fair.

The Fair, which celebrates it’s tenth anniversary when the show starts on 2nd October,  boasts the best urban artworks from upcoming international talent and hits the streets of Chelsea to fill South London with colourful, eye-catching pieces.

We’ll be at the show showing talented creatives how they can get involved with the Derwent Art Prize this year, whilst partnering with some artists to curate some exciting and varied workshops.

Will you be coming along to Chelsea Sorting Office? Find out below what workshops we will be running.

“Portrait Drawing Workshop with Mr Frivolous”

Join artist Mr.Frivolous at his portrait drawing workshop in the Derwent Art Prize space.

Mr.Frivolous, an artist whose works are instantly recognisable, will be heading up a portrait drawing workshop. Describing his own USP as an “artist in desperate need of a haircut” and a big fan of Pat Butcher, Mr Frivolous is not afraid of a bit of self deprecation and light humour, but along with this comes a brilliant brain, on a constant mission to put pen to paper. Literally…he uses a felt-tip-crayola combo, apparently because “he knows he can get a double pack of 24 for £1 from Poundland.” With artistic influence from Audrey Kawasaki to Gustav Klimt and the majority of his artworks being depicted in felt tip pen, his technique and choice of medium is perfectly aligned with the use of the Derwent brand.

The Workshop is taking place during Moniker Art Fair in the Derwent Art Prize space – the ticket includes the workshop session and your entrance to the Fair.

Date: Saturday 5th October 2019
