The UK Coloured Pencil Society (UKCPS) announces their 20th Anniversary Gala Exhibition – and you are invited!
The UKCPS has promoted coloured pencils as a fine art medium, supported artists who use them and championed the art of drawing for 20 years. To celebrate this milestone year, the Society is hosting their biggest exhibition yet, showcasing a range of 250 works by 150 UK and international artists!
This year’s panel of experts included members of the Derwent Global Marketing Team who had the challenging task of selecting the shortlist.
Our Global Brand Manager, Charlotte Watson shares her thoughts: “It was humbling and special to see how so many artists celebrate coloured pencils in their own unique way. The array and diversity of artworks we saw was surprising (in a very good way!) and reminded us of all the incredible possibilities that can come from the coloured pencil.”
The UK Coloured Pencil Society’s exhibitions are a must-see event for all of you who enjoy drawing and are part of the Derwent community. Expect to be inspired and discover works in all styles – from intricate hyper-realism, colourful expressionism and free impressionism, to intimate portraiture and contemporary surrealism.

The exhibition will be open from Thursday 14 to Sunday 24 October at the Bargehouse, Oxo Tower Wharf, London, every day from 11am to 6pm and will be free to visit. For more information, please visit the UKCPS website here.
